| Steyning 1733 -Richard Wilford bequeathed a property to his wife Jane, and when she remarried to John Walder of Steyning, tailor, it was conveyed to a trustee for both of them. In 1773, after the death of his wife, the said John Walder and his eldest son and heir John Walder jun. of Steyning, victualler, mortgaged the property for £50 to Richard Penfold of Steyning, surgeon, and between January and March 1777, for £42 paid to John Walder jun. and Rebecca his wife................ |
