| Mary was born in
Southwater near Horsham in 1855. In 1881 (1881118) she is a parlour maid to the Hills family at 6 Vernon Terrace, Brighton. Mr Hills is a C. of E. priest 'of no cure'. Apart from the family of six and Mary there is a cook and a house maid. |

Royal Navy Captain. Mary is again the parlour maid and she has a cook, nurse and a house maid for company. She is still there in 1901 (1901225). |
